Much Ado about Anambra Abandoned General Hospital at Umueri

Behold is the picture of unarguably the worst General Hospital in the entire Anambra State. The Hospital located at Umueri, few meters from the ancestral home of Chief Willie Obiano, the incumbent Governor of Anambra State

It would be recalled that in his midterm address on March 14, Governor Willie Obiano had boasted loud and clear that he has transformed the health sector in the state, among other numerous "miracles" which he cited. But the pictures above shows how the general hospital, Umueri which was built through communal effort in the 1960s- then one of the best hospital around, destroyed during the Communal feud between Umueri and Aguleri in 1999; but rebuilt by ex- Governor Peter Obi but today completely abandoned by Governor Willie with overgrown weeds, as he hurriedly built a Tansian University Teaching Hospital in his hometown, when the so called University has no medical school. 

Now all attention that ought to go to a government hospital now goes to Tansian University Teaching Hospital as against a well structure general hospital, that was laid down then as one of the best functioning hospital in defunct eastern region. What amazes the political critics is that nobody seems to be talking at this gross misuse of public fund.
