Nigeria Girls lure into Malaysia Sex Trade

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia -  Last few years have seen thousands of Africans flooding Malaysia Sex trade, particularly the Ugandan and other East African prostitutes. But this seems to change with Nigeria girls taking over from their East African counterparts.
With recent immigration raids carried on by the members of Malaysia Immigration Service, the Global Pilot reporters were reliably informed that most of the Nigeria girls nabbed during the exercise are prostitutes. On further probing, it was revealed that many of them were forced into the business against their wish.
The Syndicates that brought these girls into the country, according to a Staff of Malaysia Home Ministry who pleads anonymity, operates using social networking sites, more especially facebook as a means to lure these innocent girls into the sex trade. The Syndicates promises good paying Jobs to the girls and operates by administering of powerful 'African magic" that the girls would pay 5 times of whatever they spent in sending them to Malaysia.
There are others who employ agents that put a paid adverts in big Nigeria Cities like Abuja and Lagos promising young women a free ticket to a well-paying job in Malaysia as Company Secretary, English Translator or bartender. Instead many are forced to become "sex slaves" to pay off travel fees and other costs and agent fees, totaling as much as $20,000. The traffickers brainwash their victims into believing they may die if they quit.
Authorities say that nearly all of the prostituted girls have college degrees but have failed to find jobs in Nigeria, where unemployment is high.
And a high Staff of Nigeria Embassy in Malaysia, says it is hard to cripple a highly organized syndicate that preys on educated but vulnerable girls, and then intimidates them into the kind of silence that hampers investigations.
"Some of the girls, when they reach here, we ask them to tell us what happened. And she says, ' They took me to Bini Shrine. I can't tell you; I will die.' They will never talk," said the Staff of the Embassy
It was reported recently that more than 1,000 African girls are trapped in Malaysian prostitution rings.
