The new 2014/15 Premier League season is finally up and running and supporters were treated to 25 goals in what turned out to be a lively opening week of action.
England's top-flight witnessed its first shock result when Swansea City toppled Louis van Gaal's Manchester United 2-1 at Old Trafford, while each of last season's top-four all secured wins during the first round of fixtures.
There was also plenty of late drama, with newly-promoted Leicester City grabbing a last-gasp point against Everton in their first Premier League fixture for a decade, while both Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur snatched victories in injury-time.
From what was an entertaining introduction to the new campaign, we take a look at team that can go all the way to win the title.
There is no doubt that the favorites for this year title would come from the traditional quadruplet otherwise referred as top 4, with exception of Manchest United whom are fast losing its grips as a English football giant. The team that have all necessary wherewithal to claim the titles are Chelsea, Arsenal & Liverpool.
CHELSEA FC:
The opening match shows that the team could go places and win something of note, after failing to impress last Season. The team now bolstered with top performers like Spanish Cesc Fabregas & Diego Costa in the squad would have great incentive to fight to the last game. This time around, Coach Mourinho would have no excuse , not to make top 2 in the league. Nonetheless, he would be seen as 'over hyped' if he fail to make top two
Prediction: 2nd
ARSENAL FC
Coach Arsene Wenger seems to have realized the need to spent bigger this season. So far he has bought in four quality super stars including the Chilean World Cup Super Star Alexis Sanchez & French Mathieu Debuch. Though the team was able to garnered 3 points in its first match of the Season, home to Crystal Palace last Weekend but there barren goalless draw away to Besiktas of Turkey leaves more questions than answers. This weekend feature against Everton will gives us glimpse into what the team could do. Arsene Wenger would be as usual contented with any position in top 4
Prediction: 3rd or 4th Position
LIVERPOOL FC
Liverpool FC clubs last week start life without its last season hit man, Luis Suarez. Though Brendan Rogers has strengthen the squad with the likes of Serbian Lazar Marković, English born David Lallana & Croatian Defender Dejan Lovren, he has vowed to bring in a world class striker to complement the efforts of the likes of Sturridge & last season EPL Revealation Sterling. Its true that liverpool had a poor match against Southampton last week, the ability of the team to grind out 3 points in a match they did not play their usual game shows the team as a team to beat this Season.
Prediction: 1st
